GRAZIANO’S INTRODUCES “TRADIZIONALE NOTTE ITALIANA” (TRADITIONAL ITALIAN NIGHT)

Beginning Thursday, August 11th, Graziano’s, famous for its classic Italian dishes (170 Petaluma Blvd., Petaluma) will introduce Tradizionale Notte Italiana (Traditional Italian Night) which will take place the second Thursday of each month. The idea for “Tradizionale Notte Italiana” was a result of Graziano’s recent trip to Italy to be married. Graziano introduced his new wife, Samantha to his Italian family which included his cousin Daniela. The central location for the family “food fest” Daniela’s home featured a long table where all could sit for hours upon hours, drink wine, pass around plates of home-cooked food, and talk about life and family. This became known as “Daniela’s Table” and Samantha, who was nothing short of bowled over by the experience, could not stop talking about it. Graziano decided on the trip home to introduce the same thing in his restaurant in order to recreate this beautiful experience for his patrons. Traditional Italian Night will be 7pm – 10pm, and will feature a prix fixe menu for $75 per person including wine and an aperitif to start. People who wish to reserve a place at Daniela’s Table which seats 24, will dine family style, as Graziano and Samantha did in Italy. Others who wish to dine in smaller groups will enjoy the same menu for the same price. Vegetarian dishes are available upon request. The bar will be open earlier at 5:30pm. “When I saw how excited Samantha was by the experience she had in Italy and in particular at Daniela’s table, I knew we had to recreate it here in this country,” said Graziano. “Americans love Italy for many reasons, not least of which is the way we enjoy food. Eating around a large table with friends and family is part of life for me and it will be my pleasure to share this custom with everyone else.”
A sampling of what’s in store on Graziano’s menu for Tradizionale Notte Italiana includes for Appetizers, various crostinis with caponata, white anchovies, white truffle, Italian salumi with fresh melons and figs and Zucchini flowers; Salad, Frische with strawberries, pancetta and roasted pecans; Pasta with ricotta and fresh grown tomatoes; Main course of roast chicken stuffed with sausage, potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic; Cheese and fruit platter; and Dessert, profiterole with raspberry sorbet and chocolate sauce.
Graziano’s, which won The Small Business of the Year award by the city of Petaluma for 2010 and was recently voted 2010’s “Best Italian Food in the Bay Area” by Open Table, serves classic Italian cuisine with a focus on local produce. One of its main attractions is the tastefully designed and beautifully lit Vodka Bar and Tasting Lounge which offers over a 100 brands of vodkas, as well as specialty cocktails, a designer martini menu, beer, and wines by the glass.
